What Is the Promptus API? Running ComfyUI Workflows Programmatically

If you've come across ComfyUI's own Cloud API — which runs workflows on Comfy's cloud infrastructure programmatically, available on their Standard, Creator, and Pro subscription tiers — you're probably looking for a way to automate generation instead of clicking through a UI for every run. Promptus offers the same kind of programmatic access, scoped to its own workflow library.

What the Promptus API Actually Does

Every CosyTemplate in Promptus — the same one-click, pre-configured ComfyUI workflows covered in our Z-Image and ComfyUI Manager guides — is also deployable via API call. That means you can:

• Trigger a specific CosyTemplate (a Z-Image text-to-image workflow, a Wan video generator, an audio model) from your own app or script, without a user opening Promptus manually
• Skip ComfyUI backend setup and maintenance — no self-hosted GPU server, no manual node/dependency management, no keeping a ComfyUI instance running yourself
• Automate batch generation or integrate generation directly into an existing product, using the same models and workflows documented across the CosyTemplates library

How This Differs From Running ComfyUI's Own API
