Promptus is a desktop application for Windows and Mac that lets anyone run professional-grade AI workflows locally — generating images, video, music, text, and 3D on their own hardware, with no cloud subscription and no recurring fees.

It ships with 50+ open-source AI models and 150+ pre-built workflows (CosyFlows), covering image generation, video creation, music and audio, text and coding agents, and 3D modelling. Users can also import existing ComfyUI workflow JSON files directly.

Promptus is built by a six-person team based in the United Kingdom — Claudia, Muddi, Robin, Mark, Phil, and Dom. The team has spent two years using open-source AI models for professional creative work, and two years watching capable people give up on local AI because the setup was too complex. Robin, the lead developer, has been building on ComfyUI since 2022 and led the technical architecture of Promptus's workflow compatibility and model quantization layers. The team started Promptus because they needed it themselves and nothing like it existed.
